"The Treehouse" Directed by Sam Shapson & A.J. Sheeran
Written by A.J. Sheeran
"The Treehouse" is a very sweet short film about grief. In the film, a twelve years old who has just lost his mother meets a young girl who introduces herself as an alien.
She tells the body that she has a space ship hidden up in her tree house,
which they can take to a far away planet where lost spirits reside.
Shapson and Sheeran made the film while undergrads at Columbia College in Chicago, scraping together a budget of $15K through a KickStarter campaign. Read an interview with directors Sam Shapson and A.J. Sheeran on Indie Outlook.
