"Aphelion Point" Directed by Dan Auty
"Aphelion Point" is a trippy, retro sci-fi short film that combines animation and green screen work to pay homage to the great sci-fi film classics 2001: A Space Odyssey, Dark Star, Solaris, and Sunshine. The film tells the story of a damaged space craft hurtling towards a malevolent presence. The closer the ship comes, the stronger its power over the few surviving crew members grows.
"A damaged ship floats through deep space, pulled towards a giant glowing sun. As the malevolent star draws ever closer, it begins to exert a terrifying influence upon the remaining crew members."
