"The idea from the beginning was to make a piece that played on Alphonse Mucha's Four Seasons only with the most recent Avatars.
I got a lot of great feedback on Korra, which I did in February from tumblr and reddit but I didn't move on the rest until the SDCC/Korra Tumblr contest. There were a lot of requests from people to do other characters but I think this set needed to be limited to four avatars to work.
Fun fact: the blue in Aang's image is meant to bridge back to Korra's color-wise so you could theoretically display the cycle starting with any avatar you please."
