Video Round-Up: February 13, 2015

"In honor of Valentine's Day, I got cheeky and wrote a geeky love poem! Because sometimes it can be tough to find the right words to say, "my love is fully operational.""

Welcome to The Geek Art Gallery's daily Video Round-Up, in which we collect the geekiest videos from around the web each day for your enjoyment. Why slog through page after page of kitten and baby videos to find what you're looking for on video aggregators when you can cut straight to the chase here? Comedy sketches, countdowns, movie parodies, nerdy music, science in action, and supercuts - we've got it all!

"Valentine's Day is two days away and Cupid's getting ready to enchant the hearts of romance fanatics around the world. But what would Cupid look like in real life? How would it feel to be struck by one of his arrows? Kyle dives into the science of Cupid on Because Science."

"This Valentine's Day, "50 Shades of Grey" has a new star. The one and only, Steve Buscemi."

"In this video, Star-Lord, Han Solo, and Malcolm Reynolds argue over who got the worst repayment for their heroic deeds. But they can all agree on one simple fact...they all got the short end of the stick. "

"Come on, you must've 'snown' this was coming! Join http://www.WatchMojo.com as we count down our picks for the Top 10 Snow Movies."

"Chris Evans at The Concord Museum!"

The Jurassic World parody video you are about to watch makes absolutely no sense at all, but it is so amazingly hilarious! The video was created by Darren Wallace, and he basically threw a bunch of randomness into the trailer just for the hell of it. I especially enjoyed the raptors on motorcycles.

"Here is the second video I directed for Victoria+Jean, for the song Firecracker. As the track is fast paced, I wanted to manipulate glass marbles and lights to create a sort of abstract and playful piece of work, an explosion of lights and a kinetic whirlpool of reflexions. It is a visual recreation, a feast of shapes and colors moving in rhythm with the song."

Fence Post Productions has created a short film that explores what life must be like for protagonist Gordon Freeman as he awaits the announcement of a new video game in the Half-Life series.
"Gordon Freeman has been waiting . . ."

Florian Renner made this short animation, Retrowave, as an ode to the style of the 1980's. It basically combines the worlds of Back to the Future and Tron by turning the DeLorean into a Light Cycle on The Grid.
"This is a short 80s style promo animation I created in Cinema 4d. I used the Turbulence FD plugin for the fog."
