"STANDBY" by Trey Drysdale
In this short concept film, a young man inadvertently creates a two way Portal-style opening through his computer monitor. Being a college student, he immediately uses it to grab some beers from the next room. Of course, being a sci-fi flick, there's a twist ending. It's not a groundbreaking story, but it's a nice looking film for a beginner. This short film was produced as a graduation project at Confetti College. It was shot and
edited over the course of about two weeks.
"After a severe thunderstorm, a hard-working college student loses his work as an unexpected power surge occurs. He later comes across a strange, portal-like phenomenon in his computer, but is oblivious to the capabilities that it entails..."
