Myers-Briggs personality tests are a fun and insightful way to explore Jungian archetypes. (One hell of a lot better than astrology or the zodiac.) Using Harry Potter characters to illustrate the architypes was a masterstroke. Makani
really brought out the personalities of the individual characters to life in these character sketches,
perfectly emphasizing James Potter’s rakish charm and the Weasley twins’
mischievous grins. Meanwhile, Simbaga
paired the characters with each personality type in ways that make an unexpectedly good sense.
Take Harry, for example. His adventures make him seem like a heroic extrovert, but on second thought, he does remain a thoughtful and sensitive character throughout the series, making his casting as “Craftsman” unpredictable but pitch-perfect. And of course Ron is the Champion. I mean, c'mon on! Weasley is our King. Check out the full-sized chart here. You can determine your own Myers-Briggs Type online at Humanmetrics.com.
