At 1:00pm on May 17th, 2017, Neil deGrasse Tyson tweeted that he occasionally longed for someone to read "Good Night Moon" to him as he falls asleep. Six minutes later, LeVar Burton tweeted "I got you... Let's do this!" And do it they did.  Burton, of course, was the host of Reading Rainbow for two decades. His new podcast, LeVar Burton Reads, is like Reading Rainbow for adults.

At FiveThirtyEight, Gus Wezerek asks, "Is Your D&D Character Rare?": "We got a peek at what kind of characters everyone is building, and a lot of players are sticking close to reality." Going beyond basic descriptors, Neal Litherland at Improved Initiative explores uncommon ways to think about Pathfinder characters in a regular feature: "Unusual Character Concepts," e.g. "The Farmer Ranger," "The Heretic," and "The Pill-Popping Paladin." And in an interview about the podcast Tell Me About Your Character, Steve Keller praises "that off-the-cuff, excited meander" exemplified in his first interview about someone's favorite character.

Man At Arms posted their most recent build: Myrtenaster, an extravagant rapier used by Weiss Schnee, one of the main characters from the anime RWBY. The sword is more than a simple replica. The sword has practical uses. It is both strong and sharp enough to slice through pineapples in a single stroke. The wielder can also use the sword to fire projectiles, just like Weiss can on the show. Firing at someone won’t freeze them in a block of ice, but it will still pack quite the punch.

Photographer Stefan Draschan has created “People Matching Artworks“, a remarkable photo series that captures museum visitors wearing outfits that match and/or coordinate with the art they are viewing. This type of series requires a great deal of patience, however being that Draschan shot two other series, “People Sleeping in Museums” and “The Three Graces“, within the museum walls, it appears he made the most of his time.Couples Matching.

A team of photography experts has devised a pretty innovative device that allows you to shoot digital photos and video using your vintage 35mm analog cameras.  Called ‘I’m Back,’ the camera module boasts WiFi connection, an LCD display, a 3.5-inch portable color TFT monitor for video recording, and an eight-megapixel sensor with a 16-megapixel variant promised if the project reaches successful funding on Kickstarter.
