Video: 8 Bit Spirited Away

"Spirited Away - 8 Bit Cinema" by CineFix

Spirited Away is my favorite Studio Ghibli movie.  Even people who don't agree have a hard time find a flaw in the classic anime, which is the coming of age story of a girl named Sen who loses her parents and ends up working at a bathhouse for the spirits.  The 8-Bit Cinema team seems to agree, because they've crafted a lovely tribute to the game that encapsulates its story in under five minutes in 8 (more accurately 16) bits. If for some reason you've never seen Spirited Away, stop now and go buy it before you proceed,  it's a title every anime fan and child should see.
"8-bit Cinema "gamifies" your favorite Hollywood Blockbusters into 80's arcade and NES inspired action! Today, we’re re-telling this Miyazaki classic in the form of a classic video game.Classic! Today we present Spirited Away in the form of an 8 bit video game!

8 Bit a.k.a. the third generation of gaming started in 1983 with the Japanese release of the Nintendo Family Computer and Sega. Can you guess what games inspired our 8-bit version of Spirited Away?"
