The influx of cash donations to the satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo following the attack on its staff is causing dissension in the ranks, as the surviving staffers want equal shares in the magazine.  "It’s like those funerals where relatives bicker over who’s getting grandmother’s jewels before she’s even buried" said one of the magazine’s lawyers.

The Japanese anti-piracy campaign Manga-Anime Guardians announced it has removed 447,096 manga files and 264,601 anime files from pirate sites, including downloads, video sharing, and online readers. The group also reports the percentage of fans who use pirate sites is 12 percent in Japan and 50 percent in the United states.  I can tell you from long involvement in the fan dub community that the U.S. numbers would shrink considerably if official English translations series were released more quickly.

Margot Robbie will be rocking Harley Quinn’s famous outfit (and a few other looks) in Suicide Squad.

The new Hawkeye action figure, based on Matt Fraction and David Aja’s take on the Avengers, comes with trick arrows, a patched-up face, and lots of articulation.

Retired detective Joe Getsinger has been recovering lost comics by inking old newspaper printing plates and using them to make new prints. By studying the images, he has uncovered an early Jack Kirby comic as well as works by Will Eisner, Bob Kane and Jerry Eiger.
