TheseBorg-like cubes have been created by notching and joining pennies at perpendicular angles in a latticework. In all, the piece is composed of 26,982 pennies, with at least one penny from each year the coin bore the Lincoln Memorial on it's reverse side (1959-2008). "I like working with pennies because they are so familiar. People are comfortable around the sculptures because they are made out of pennies, it’something they can relate to, it’s something that they’ve seen their whole life"
