Thanks to the Omote 3D pop-up photo booths from Japanese creative studio PARTY popping up around Tokyo’s stylish Harajuku district, folks out painting the town red will soon be able to commemorate their outings with 3D printed figurines, rather than the traditional American photo booths. The new booths feature 3D scans that only require a subject to stand still for 15 minutes. The result is a 3D figurine available in sizes ranging from four to eight inches. What’s being called the world’s first 3D printing photo booth is set to open for a limited time at the exhibition space EYE OF GYRE in Harajuku from November 24 to January 14, 2013.
