Video: World of Warcraft on the NES
This fun video made by Rkade Soup imagines what an NES version of World Of Warcraft would have looked like, complete with old-school music. He’s also done videos for Sister Location and Overwatch that are worth checking out when you get a free moment. But for now, have fun going through a 8-bit version of Azeroth.

Video: 8-Bit Mad Max: Fury Road
CineFix presents Mad Max: Fury Road retold via old-school 8-bit (and a
little 16 bit ;) game tech. No quarters or controllers required! Talk about a movie being made for the side-scrolling arcade treatment. This Mad Max Fury Road 8-bit creation from Cinefix
is one of their best videos yet, if only because it includes the
button-smashing directions. It also
brings the best vehicles from the movie into the simple video game
world.

Video: 8 Bit Spirited Away
Spirited Away is my favorite Studio Ghibli movie. Even people who don't agree have a hard time find a flaw in the classic anime, which is the coming of age story of a girl named Sen
who loses her parents and ends up working at a bathhouse for the spirits. The 8-Bit Cinema team seems to agree, because they've crafted a lovely tribute to the game that encapsulates its story in under five minutes in 8 (more accurately 16)
bits. If for some reason you've never seen Spirited Away, stop now and go buy it before you proceed, it's a title every anime fan and child should see.
"8-bit Cinema "gamifies" your favorite Hollywood Blockbusters into 80's arcade and NES inspired action! Today, we’re re-telling this Miyazaki classic in the form of a classic video game.Classic! Today we present Spirited Away in the form of an 8 bit video game!
8 Bit a.k.a. the third generation of gaming started in 1983 with the Japanese release of the Nintendo Family Computer and Sega. Can you guess what games inspired our 8-bit version of Spirited Away?"

Fresh Take: Game of Thrones Pixel Art
"Fight of Thrones" by Spain-based Alberto Hernández Abril
I personally think that Game of Thrones would be great back story for a Final Fantasy-style NES game.

Design: NES Adventure Time
"Don’t you love when the coverarts back in the 80s have nothing to do with the game itself? Take a look into Megaman1 boxart for instance, I wonder who the heck draw megaman that way… he even have a pistol (not to mention those legs, man… those legs)!
This was a NES game idea that I had, it would be heavily “a boy and his blob” inspired. You would use Jake’s transformations to search for power ups and advance the levels, Jake would also be a weareble armor like he was once or twice in the show. Finn would play very megaman-zelda2-ish; walk, jump, slash, etc, all in 8bit goodness! I tried my best to mimic the NES limitations, using 4 colors per block and 5 colors max per sprite, and the color palette is fearelly the same."

Video: 8-bit Matrix
I've put quite a bit of effort into forgetting that The Matrix sequels exist, but watching this scene from The Matrix Reloaded with 8-bit sound almost makes it tolerable. Now, it's an action comedy!
Phillip Raupach edited the fight scene to include nostalgic 8-bit sound effects from our childhoods and created something pretty fantastic. You could get me to re-watch both sequels if the whole soundtrack was like this. Maybe.

Fresh Take: Space Invaders
Batman, Superman, and all your other favorite heroes are joining the invading hordes of aliens dancing left to right as they slowly descend upon the Earth. The Invaders were created by artist Sayon Chatterjee for the marketing firm And Then.
"So while interning at Andthen a couple of years back I was fascinated by retro 8-bit games, especially Space Invaders. So I tried to re-imagine them with some color and created a series of iconic characters.
It was a challenge to make the characters easily recognisable because of the limited pixels I got to play with, so i took some liberty and changed a few aspects of the pixels.
At last these were the ones which made the cut."

Video: 8-Bit Avengers
CineFix has released a new episode of 8-Bit Cinema that retells the 2012 Marvel superhero film The Avengers in the form of an 8-bit animated video game. Black Widow escapes the Hulk in the obligatory level-scrolling monster
chase, and Loki legitimately looks like a Mega Man villain, and—oh, just watch it. The video was written and animated by David Dutton of Dutton Films with music by Henry Dutton.

Video: 8-Bit Forrest Gump
Forrest Gump was an instant classic that had audiences everywhere tearing up. Given all the crazy elements the film incorporates - football, war, ping-pong, fishing – it’s a wonder that no company ever made a video game adaptation... or not. CineFix thought it needed an adaptation at least, re-imagining what the movie would look like as a classic side-scroller.

Video: 8-Bit Fifth Element
Cinefix is back with a new installment of 8-Bit Cinema, this time remaking sci-fi action classic The Fifth Element as an 8-bit video game. This is one of the few movies CineFix has covered that I actually think would have made a good NES game.
