Bob Dylan's Nobel Lecture is now online: "In a lot of ways, some of these same things have happened to you. You too have had drugs dropped into your wine. You too have shared a bed with the wrong woman. You too have been spellbound by magical voices, sweet voices with strange melodies. You too have come so far and have been so far blown back. And you’ve had close calls as well. You have angered people you should not have. And you too have rambled this country all around. And you’ve also felt that ill wind, the one that blows you no good. And that’s still not all of it."  Here's a great explanation of Why Bob Dylan Won The Nobel Prize.

Woodwork: Catan Board

This Imgurian has me green with jealousy over his handmade Settler of Catan Board. The wood tiles in particular are incredible. I wish there were process shots, but alas, we're going to have to be satisfied drooling over the results.

Sweets: LOTR Birthday Party

Imgurian Skip172 shared the preparations his girlfriend made for her "Long Expected" 25th birthday.  Decorations include some familiar signage, and the party featured a buffet of Lord of the Ring themed foods.  Imgur being Imgur, they of course advise him to immediately wife her, and I have to admit, I'd love to meet a fangirl this into my fandoms.

Tattoo: Inner Dimensions

New Hampshire tattoo artist Jesse Rix has posted a gallery of incredible three-dimensional tattoos that transform their bearers into multi-layered optical illusions of alien worlds that appear to loom just beneath their skin.
Jesse Rix is a tattoo artist based in Keene, New Hampshire. He has been tattooing since 2005 and specializes in realism, nature and 3D/Geometric style pieces …Our studio is a private studio, which means it’s by appointment only. 7 Amazing Origami-Inspired Inventions

An Associate Professor in Computer Science at the University of Science in France, Francesco de Comité has been making 2D and 3D representations of mathematical concepts and objects.

Canadian artist Dave Delisle of Dave’s Geeky Ideas recently created an incredible two-person tent design concept based on a Federation shuttlecraft from Star Trek.
This is a two-man tent design that features an entrance at the back (just like the actual shuttlecraft). The tent stores in a carrying case that splits apart to become the thrusters. This started as a bunk bed design several months back, but I didn’t want to keep posting bed designs at the time, so I shelved it. Glad I could do something different for the shuttlecraft here.
