Lego Creation: NASA Curiosity Rover

Before NASA’s Curiosity Rover lifted off for Mars last fall, one of the engineers who built the Mars Science Laboratory (MSL) spacecraft attempted to convince LEGO to produce a toy version of the six-wheeled rover. Eight months later, the real rover has safely touched down in the Gale Crater, but Stephen Pakbaz’s brick-built Curiosity has yet to land on toy store shelves. You can, however, now build his model, using these do-it-yourself instructions. All you'll need is 313 pieces. There are 38 steps to assembling theme included in the 46-page instruction manual. [PDF]

Video: The Lego Story
To recognize 80 years of toy creation, Lego has released this 17-minute story of the company’s history. This short film, which can be found on YouTube, is sure to invoke feelings of nostalgia in every adult who loved the plastic brick toy as a kid.
The animated video describes the life of Danish toymaker Ole Kirk Christiansen, who created the company in 1932, and his son Godtfred, Lego’s second owner, from the perspective of current owner Kjeld, the founder’s grandson.
Even the most ardent Lego fans are sure to learn something new about the Danish toy company. For instance, the name Lego comes from the Danish for “play well” is “leg godt.” Coincidentally, Lego means “I put together” in Latin. Learn more about the company at the official Lego website.
Fresh Take: Star Wars 80’s High School
"Star Wars 80’s High School" by Denis Medri
What if Star Wars was re-written as an Eighties High School comedy, like a John Hughes film. The cast includes Han and Chewie in their Millennium Falcon Trans-Am and Darth Vader in a classic Thriller Jacket!
"Vader isn't the Luke's father, but is the classic bullit of the High School, that try to bring Luke to the "dark side" and been bullit too..
He is the "chief "of a motocross crew of bullit ( like "Karate Kid" or "Lost Kids")
He wear a jacket like Micheal jackson on "Thriller" in a total black look
Boba Fett is his "sidekick" wearing his classic 80's glasses
and we have 2 twins that look like Trooper''s style"
