"These were created as a part of Blurppy's initiative to gather artists to make an alternative poster for the upcomming movie World War Z.

 

The movie is based off the best selling book by Max Brooks and revolves around United Nations employee Gerry Lane (Brad Pitt), who traverses the world in a race against time to stop the Zombie pandemic that is toppling armies and governments and threatening to decimate humanity itself.

 

In the course of two months the eight artists involved in this project created their versions and finally the posters were revealed on blurppy.com. The artists involved with this project have taken on the moniker “Print Posse“."

An online gang of artists calling themselves the The Print Posse have created a series of amazing movie posters for the upcoming Brad Pitt movie World War Z, based on the excellent Max Brooks novel of the same name.  The posters come in response to the official trailer, and so far, they beat the hell out of all the official promotional materials.  It sort of makes me wonder why Hollywood doesn't save itself some money by just holding contests when the time comes for marketing material.

All of these posters were originally created for a challenge issued / organized by Blurppy.com. "The challenge was to create an image for a movie that they had not seen yet and had limited visual assets available."
