Sketch: Soundwave and Shockwave

After a hard day of transformin’ Soundwave and Shockwave wind down with a little SFII Turbo.

I had to post this.  When I was a kid, this was my all-time favorite cartoon series, and these were my two favorite characters from the series.

Lego Creation: Optimus Prime

(Created using Hasbro’s KREO head)

Orion Pax has done it again. He's well known for building incredible replicas of many popular eighties franchise icons, like the Ghostbusters Headquarters, the cast of Masters of the Universe, and Knight Rider’s K.I.T.T.  Last week, Jones posted his latest creation, a fully functional replica of G1 Optimus Prime.  It even has Roller in the trailer!

It was built last year, but he only unveiled it last week in order to allow himself some time for tweaking.  It is fully transformable and is built completely of LEGO pieces except for the Kre-O head.  Considering the freakish shift in scale of Optimus' head, that's kosher in book.

Video: The Autobot

"The Autobot" by Marco Svizzero and Robert Xavier Burden
11ft x 7ft, Oil on Canvas
"This massive Transformers oil painting took 8 months and over 2000 photos to capture in time-lapse video. It depicts Optimus Prime and various Transformers toys from 1984, and it is currently being displayed at The Shooting Gallery in San Francisco."
"A lot of the original Transformers were made in Japan, and I'm a fan of Japanese artist Takashi Murakami, so it's a bit of an homage to his work as well. I also just like flower patterns."

"All Pumpkins are Carved/Shaved with Woodcarving tools not painted. The black and grays are created from sharpies and pumpkin white space.

My friends and I started a Pumpkin Carving contest in my home town which has since branched out and was held at McCoy Stadium in Pawtucket Mass last year.

Here are some of the Pumpkins I did for my personal home display."
