That's the wrong white-bearded old man, little Hobbits!
"With Peter Jackson’s final chapter in the ‘Middle Earth Saga’, 'The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies' hitting theatres worldwide next week, I thought it would be fun to create a trailer that promotes his cinematic retelling of ‘The Hobbit’ as a single epic piece."
"We had to get the song just right, to send the audience out of the movie theater in the most perfect way we could. But I don't think it was until I was sitting on the long flight down to New Zealand that I started to really think about what the song would be. [...]
After seeing the film, I went to my room and I started to put down some ideas, and along with Fran and Philippa, we started to sculpt the song we thought the movie needed. A lot of ideas took us to dead ends or we found the tone wasn't just right. I think we discovered very quickly this wasn't just a song to end The Battle of The Five Armies - it was a song to say goodbye to Middle-earth."
"Dragons might be intrigued by flattery and riddling words. But unfortunately for Bilbo, Smaug is much more interested in disposing of guests than he is with talking to them."
"It took 656 days counting from Balin Bust posted before the premiere of An Unexpected Journey, or 580 days if counting from the posting date of Balin & Dwalin. That is around 10% of my current life, and that sound quite lot if you ask me! Naturally all the positive feedback I got during the project on Flickr, Eurobricks and Palikkatakomo plus from friends from Bio-Klaani and surrondings gave me heaps of inspiration. This wasn’t a project at the beginning.
I just threw together Balin and Dwalin and Oin and Bifur and Thorin and there I went… And then somebody asked if I’ll build Gandalf and Bilbo and I said that yes, why not? And I’m glad I did, as they are iconic characters and turned out decent."
"Cut it close, but just managed to finish this years pumpkins! Lighting them both together was a heck of a job, and that last picture was as good as I could manage, and carving those small pumpkins was no easy task either. Regardless, I’m proud of how they both came out!"
