Lego Creation: Hyrule Map
Michael Kuroda created this massive recreation of the Overworld Map from The Legend of Zelda. Each LEGO nub represents 16×16 pixels on the in-game map. The entire piece measure 256 nubs in width by 88 nubs in height. It was created for BrickCon 2012, and it won the "A Winner is You" trophy for the Let's
Play theme at Bricks Cascade 2013.

Quick Pic: 8-Bit Teatime
Dina Belenko decided to recreate parts of a Mario level using sugar
cubes and the results are fantastic. I wouldn’t mind seeing some more
retro games remade in a similar manner.

Crafts: Raccoon Mario Throw
Source: Imgur via Reddit
"I started this guy in August 2013, approximately 5 years after I saw someone else make a similar blanket and swore I'd make myself one. Finally finished in November 2013. :D It took about 24 balls of yarn, over 100 hours, a lot of my sleep, and a lot of goddamned television. But it is done! And I'm never making one ever again. Holy crap."

Video: 8 Bit Cinema: The Shining
CineFix is well known for their geeky "8-bit cinema" parodies where they re-imagine classic movies with an old school video game twist. In honor of Halloween, the crew took on the famous horror flick The Shining, envisioning the movie as a classic RPG. The spoof video was trending over the weekend, and it has amassed a staggering number of views!

Download: 8-Bit Game of Thrones
There are a few Game of Thrones video games, but Abel Alves's 8-bit version is the most nostalgic for those of us who grew up playing the classic NES. Game of Thrones: The 8-Bit Game isn't an attempt to re-tell George R.R. Martin's entire story. That would take hundreds of hours of game play, especially without dialog. Instead, this version casts the player in the role of their favorite characters at key moments in the series.
In the video above, you can watch Jon Snow battling his way to the wall. In the official trailer below, Daenerys Targaryen journeys to recover her stolen dragons. The 8-Bit Game can be downloaded for free right here.
