Lego Creation: Hyrule Map

THE LEGEND OF ZELDA OVERWORLD MAP RECREATED IN LEGO
LEGO artist Michael Kuroda (aka madoruk) is responsible for this majestic recreation of the Overworld Map from The Legend of Zelda done in LEGO.  Each LEGO stud represents 16×16 pixels on the in-game map, and the overall LEGO map is 256 studs wide by 88 studs tall!
This was revealed at this year’s Brickcon (the same place the LEGO Assassin’s Creed and Hylian Shield got revealed) so it’s almost certain that OTL Gaming is going to need to go next year to see all this LEGO talent in person.

Quick Pic: 8-Bit Teatime

8-Bit Teatime by Dina Belenko

Dina Belenko decided to recreate parts of a Mario level using sugar cubes and the results are fantastic. I wouldn’t mind seeing some more retro games remade in a similar manner.

Crafts: Raccoon Mario Throw

Stay Warm with this Hand-Knit Mario Quilt

Source: Imgur via Reddit
"I started this guy in August 2013, approximately 5 years after I saw someone else make a similar blanket and swore I'd make myself one. Finally finished in November 2013. :D It took about 24 balls of yarn, over 100 hours, a lot of my sleep, and a lot of goddamned television. But it is done! And I'm never making one ever again. Holy crap."

Download: 8-Bit Game of Thrones

There are a few Game of Thrones video games, but Abel Alves's 8-bit version is the most nostalgic for those of us who grew up playing the classic NES.   Game of Thrones: The 8-Bit Game isn't an attempt to re-tell George R.R. Martin's entire story.  That would take hundreds of hours of game play, especially without dialog. Instead, this version casts the player in the role of their favorite characters at key moments in the series.

In the video above, you can watch Jon Snow battling his way to the wall. In the official trailer below, Daenerys Targaryen journeys to recover her stolen dragons. The 8-Bit Game can be downloaded for free right here.
