The Screen Junkies are back with a new Honest Trailer for Jupiter Ascending, the Wachowskis' sci-fi space opera that launched with an underwhelming thud earlier this year, despite being one of the most beautiful films ever captured on celluloid. If you haven't seen it yet (and box office receipts say you haven't), this Honest Trailer may help you decide if you want to buy or rent when it's finally released on Blu-Ray later this year.
I won't give anything, but they start by comparing Jupiter Ascending to Battlefield Earth within the opening minute. As Honest Trailer narrator Jon Bailey details plot points, he showcases the film's many similarities to the one uber-successful Wachowskis film, The Matrix, such as “CGI bullshit, lazy philosophy, and a story about the human race being harvested by more advanced civilization… yeah that again.”
